Hoping this tutorial help you to make best performance in your flight simulator and hoping you give me new solutions whit reply at the same thread
OK! sarting whit description of my hardware configuration.
1) PC Build used:.
- CPU - i7-3770k ( overclocked at 4.2 Ghz ),
- Mother board - ASUS P8Z77-V LX
- RAM - 8 Gb Dual chanell memory at 1600 Mhz Corsair cl,9-9-9-24
- Video Card - Nvidia GeForce ASUS GTX 660ti
- OS - Windows 7 64bit
- OS Disk - SSD Vertex 4 (120 Gb)
- FSX Disk - HDD WD GREEN 500Gb 7200 rpm
.2) FSX installation procedure:- Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x64)› (X86)
- Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)› (X86)
- Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)› (X86)
- Restart PC
- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- Restart PC
- Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
- Restart PC
- Update windows whit "Windows Update"
- Restart PC
- Search again updates whit Windows Update tool manually and if found news install and restart PC
- Search again updates, if found install and restart else go to next steep
- install first FSX part but select manually the folder root as D:FSX ( Secondary disk )
- resatrt the PC
- Load FSX, active your license and go into the default flight then exit from fsx
- Install FSX Accelleration Pack, Restart the PC and load the simulator, active your license code and accept new configuration controls
- Update Windows whit "windows Update" and if found restart PC
- Done FSX install
3) Addon installed List :- PMDG 737 NGX 800-900 SP1c
- REX Essential Plus Overdrive
- Traffic X SP1
- Ultimate Terrain X ( Alaska X - Canada - USA - Europe )
- Ground Environment x ( Africa - Europe 2.0 - USA - Atlentic e Pacific Tropic )
- GSX4) Addon Installation and configuration:*Follow this order!1) Ultimate terrain x in this order: a- If you have, install UTX Alaska x then load and configure it using the tool when done.
b- If you have, install UTX USA then load and configure it using the tool when done.
c- If you have, install UTX Canada then load and configure it using the tool when done.
d- If you have, Install UTX Europe then load and configure it using the tool when done.
e- Restart PC
f- Load FSX, go to flight 1 minute
2) Ground Environment x in this order: a- If you have, install GEX Africa then load and configure it using the tool when done.
b- If you have, install GEX USA then load and configure it using the tool when done.
c- If you have, install GEX Atlentic & Pacific Tropic then load and configure it using the tool when done.
d- If you have, install GEX Europe then load and configure it using the tool when done.
e- Restart the PC.
f- Load FSX, go to flight 1 minute.
3) If you like install PMDG 737 NGX 800-900 SP1c.. awesome model ♥ and restart the PC4) AI Traffic X Procedure ( optional ): a- Install Traffic X and SP1
b- load it and configure the database of flight plans in file named TrafficX.bgl
c) load FSX and go stay stopped in airport. TrafficX need first time 5 or 10 minutes to make world flight plans database.
5) REX Essential Plus Overdrive ! ( It is necessary to make your sim realistic ): It is really fantastic addon.
this version include 10 Gb of high definition textures at 4096x4096 px as:
- Sky Textures, Cloud textures, inland textures, ocean textures, tropical textures, water movements effects, Runways, Taxyways, Airoprt Environment, Lighting effects as sun, flare, airports lights and other including sounds effets as tunderstom or wind and turboloence in plane !
REX environment is not only symple textures and scenary solution. really REX is weather simulator. In real time as real world it take realistic meteo conditions. I think this is the best addon ( software ) to make better experience in FSX.
a- Install REX in c:REX Essential Plus Overdrive
b- when done load it
c- configure fsx folder and name of the account ( better autenticate it in the support forum HERE
d- select menu "options" from the windows and take all active whitout dx10 optimizations, select 4096x4096 textures HD in modality "High end system".
e- in "Configuration manager" -> " Weather Engine " select switch WX Plus Mode "
f- the software have big number of personalization ( i have done as better realistic possible .. can you make your prefer config now )
g- Go in menu "Textures" and schose your textures ( better in HD or HD Overdrive )
h- Save the texture theme profile and install it. Done
i- Before flight make you sure to changed parameter " TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 " in the fsx.cfg file ( explain it in next steeps )6) Finally the explain of very important part of the fsx.cfg file: Orange color as symple codeRED color as "important change"Green comment as added comment ( leave it in your file )Yellow color ( variable in your hardware config )Purple color as Category visibility facilitator.
